Report from Field Day 2000 for KC2EOS
Planning Info from Field Day 2000
Operating hours for Field Day 2000 are 1800Z, June 24 to 2100Z, June 25. We are planning on setting up the base of the towers on Friday evening June 23, camping overnight, then completing setup beginning about 10AM the morning of June 24. Of course, operating begins promptly at 2PM with whatever we have on the air. We are renting a large 20x30 foot tent and a PortaPotty (both being delivered and set up for us), so the only two basic amenities the site will lack are power and running drinking water. You will need to bring drinking water; we will have generators on-site for at least some power.
We would like to do a family barbeque Saturday evening/night. Please bring a small grill and charcoal/gas to operate it. We have not decided if food will be bought by the club or brought; please post an email to the list with your opinion.
Because we will not be in a regular building, this year's Field Day will require us to haul everything in and out. Please review the planning spreadsheet, let us know what you can bring, and do come join us for the festivities.
